Usually, they will have to add a little markup on their web hosting charges as business people. Sometimes, when the domain expires and their client has not paid for renewal, the default domain expiry page now links them to us and the renewal could be done by someone else directly. There are other cases which allows for domain and web hosting renewal on behalf of our client when the real person who registered the domain with us cannot be reached. But there are terms that cannot be violated especially in respect of who the domain owner is.
Let us try to answer the question: can someone else renew a domain or web hosting when due?
Well, our answer is a conditional yes because it will depend on the situation. It is possible that the domain owner had sought some help to pay the renewal fees, that does not change anything . So, someone else can actually pay for your domain name registration or web hosting renewal but cannot take control of them simply because he or she made a payment on your behalf. At Todhost, we are not particular about who pays because we understand that someone else could be requested to a payment on behalf of another.
But when you make such payments, we want the payment to be clarified. If you pay to the bank for a domain, say ogoninews.com, in the space where you are expected to write the depositor’s name, you simply write the domain name (in this case, ogoninews.com) as the depositor’s name. When you do that, the Todhost billing department will not need to confirm your identity or that of the depositor, we will simply apply the payment to the domain name you have written in the payment details.
We realize that most web designers markup the prices they offer their clients. That is acceptable for business and is no problem. However, if an invoice is sent to someone else and the person pays, we accept such payment for services be it a domain order, renewal or web hosting services. Where a client pays for our services through someone else, we have no issues with that.
Does such payment affect the account owner?
No! The ownership of the domain name or web hosting service is not affected in any way by the person ho pays for it and the person who makes payment does not necessarily have to be the one to take over the management of the domain or web hosting account. The domain name and related services will remain under the control of its original owner. The original owner is the person whose email is registered with us as the owner of the account, domain name or web hosting account. The account will continue to be owned by the owner of the email registered on file for that particular service. To move a service to a new owner, you will need to change the email address for the registered owner to that of the new owner. You can also contact our support team with a request to move an account to a new owner. We will want to confirm our request just to be double sure you have requested to make the change and understand the implications of the move. It will only after a confirmation is received that we can move the affected service to a n new owner. It’s easy to get that done.

Login to the client area, Click services > order new services and make your new order.
Option 3
Create a new order with a different account and contact customer support using a ticket requesting that your accounts be merged. You will need to send the email from the email address attached the account or login to your client area and send the ticket from there. Todhost support may require a further confirmation before the merger is approved.
